7-Day Sailing and Swimming Itinerary
This itinerary is designed to provide flexibility for all participants. You are welcome to swim less or more, depending on your preference. If you ever feel like taking a break or not swimming at all, you’re welcome to relax on the boat. It’s your holiday, and there is absolutely no pressure to join any swim sessions.
Day 1: Saturday
Welcome to your adventure! After meeting in Aliki, Paros at Angeliki hotel , we’ll enjoy a light lunch (your own choice) and set sail for Koufonisia (no later than 15:00). Upon arrival, you’ll have time to settle into your accommodation and explore the area. As evening approaches, we’ll reconvene at Sorokos Bar on Ammos Beach for introductions, a review of the week’s plans, and the distribution of your Swimming Cruise cap and inflatable buoy for our open-water swims.

Day 2: Sunday
We begin with a morning sail to Kato Koufonisi, specifically the tranquil Nero Beach. Kato Koufonisi is a largely uninhabited island known for its untouched nature and pristine beaches. We’ll swim up to 3 km in crystal-clear waters, exploring rugged coastlines and hidden coves. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a light meal at a local taverna (expenses are at your own cost) before heading back to our base in Koufonisia.

Location: Kato Koufonisi (Nero Beach)
Day 3: Monday
Today, we sail to Schoinousa, an island known for its peaceful landscapes and authentic Cycladic charm. Our swim will take us to the secluded Ofidoussa Beach, covering up to 2.5 km. Afterward, you can explore the nearby village, known for its traditional whitewashed houses and picturesque streets. Lunch will be at a local taverna (expenses are at your own cost) before we return to Koufonisia for the evening.
Max Daily Swim: 2.5 km approximately
Location: Schoinousa (Ofidoussa Beach)
Day 4: Tuesday
Our destination is the island of Iraklia, where we’ll swim at Alimias Beach. Here, you can discover a submerged WWII German aircraft, which has become a popular site for divers and snorkelers. The swim distance is up to 2.5 km, and afterward, we’ll take time to enjoy Iraklia’s peaceful atmosphere. Lunch will be at a local taverna (expenses are at your own cost) before heading back to Koufonisia.

Location: Iraklia (Alimias Beach, WWII plane wreck)
Day 5: Wednesday
We sail to the remote islet of Ano Antikeri today, where we’ll swim from Kato Antikeri to Ano Antikeri, covering up to 3 km. This area is known for its unspoiled beauty and rugged coastlines. Lunch will be at a local taverna (expenses are at your own cost) before returning to Koufonisia in the evening.

Location: Ano Antikeri
Day 6: Thursday
Today, we sail to Keros Island, known for its archaeological significance. We’ll swim from Megali Plaka to Plaki Beach, covering up to 3.5 km. The waters are crystal-clear, and the swim offers a chance to connect with this island of historical and cultural mystery. Lunch will be at a local taverna (expenses are at your own cost) before returning to Koufonisia for the evening.

Location: Keros Island (Megali Plaka to Plaki Beach)
Day 7: Friday
On our final day, we return to Aliki, Paros. If time allows, we’ll enjoy a final swim at Aliki Beach, a calm and beautiful spot. To celebrate the end of an amazing week, we’ll host a farewell BBQ onboard party, sharing stories, enjoying good food, and toasting to new friendships.
If you’re continuing your vacation in Paros, be sure to explore Paros Town for shopping, dining, and vibrant island life.

How to access

Our Swimming Cruise adventure casually begins from Aliki, Paros, and we set sail to Koufonisia island no later than 15:00. Please plan your arrival accordingly to ensure a timely departure.
Arriving by Ferry from Athens Piraeus or Rafina Ports
- From Athens International Airport to Piraeus Port: Upon landing in Athens, you can reach Piraeus, Athens’s primary port, by several means:
○ Metro: A straightforward route, the metro ride takes approximately 1 hour.
○ Bus: A bus ride from the airport to Piraeus takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
○ Taxi: For a direct and faster option, a taxi ride takes around 45 minutes, depending on traffic. - Ferry Departures: High-speed ferries depart from Piraeus to Paros several times a day, with approximately five scheduled daily crossings during the peak season. Ferries also leave from Rafina Port, another option close to the Athens Airport.
- From the Main Port of Paros (Paroikia): Aliki is about a 20-minute drive by taxi from Paroikia, offering a quick and direct route for your convenience.
Arriving by Plane
Paros has a small regional airport, with flights arriving daily. From the Paros Airport:
- To Our Meeting Point in Aliki: Aliki, our starting point, is a short 10-15 minute taxi ride from Paros Airport. It’s a direct and easy journey to start your swimming adventure with us.

- A Direct Route to Koufonisia You can take a direct ferry from Athens to Koufonisia from Piraeus Port. Ferries to Koufonisia operate daily, providing a reliable and convenient option for travelers arriving from Athens.
Arriving by Ferry From Nearby Islands
If you’re already in the Cyclades, accessing Koufonisia is simple with ferry connections from neighboring islands:
- From Naxos: Ferries depart frequently from Naxos to Koufonisia, with a travel time of approximately 30 minutes.
- From Paros: Ferries also run from Paros, taking about 1 hour to reach Koufonisia.
- From Amorgos: Travelers from Amorgos can catch a ferry to Koufonisia, with the trip taking around 1 hour.
